Who knew that the little area known as “Pleasant View” across the river would someday become host to the most notable projects in Jackson County. On Nov 14, 1890 the area east of Black River Falls known as Pleasant View became an official Wisconsin Township. The township would extend east of the Black River carving out a corridor between Hawk Island Road to the south and Sand Pillow Road to the north until finally coming together with the majestic Black River Forest.
Today the nearly 3,000 residents who call the Town of Brockway home have a flourishing lineup of new & established businesses that provide jobs, economic growth, and an ever growing selection of shopping, dining, and exploring opportunities. Brockway is also host to Jackson Counties popular tourist areas like Wazee Lake County Park, Castle Mound State Park, and Perry Creek State Park.
